Indigenous Beading Workshop

This project teaches a skillset that is traditional to many Indigenous nations and has become a popular art expression for many Indigenous people. Teaching beadwork is a way of preserving traditions among familiars. Sharing stories is an integral part of Indigenous traditional education, and conversations in class will include stories and histories that are important for Indigenous peoples. The fall session features a beaded orange shirt project to bring awareness and contribute to community healing. All Elders and seniors are welcome. No experience required, and supplies will be provided
