Field Trip to UBC Anechoic Chamber

What’s an Anechoic Chamber? We had to ask too 🙂

According to Roundhouse Lead Artist Leah Abramson: “It’s a little room in the mechanical engineering building where they do experiments with sound — it’s a chamber that is designed to have no reflective sound (so very very dead sounding).”

 

This field trip was part of the Roundhouse’s explorations into sound and songwriting.
